Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn 2 oz white, small amount of peach, blue and pink
Crochet Hook Size F

Finished Size Approximately 5 1/4" x 7"
Coaster: (make 4)
Head:
Row 1: With white, ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn. (10
sc)
Row 2-6: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across with 2 sc in last st, turn,
ending with 20 sc in last row.
Rows 7-15: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn
Rows 16-18: Ch 1, sc first 2 sts tog, sc in each st across to last 2 sts, sc last 2
sts tog, turn (18, 16, 14) At end of last row, fasten off.
Ear (make 2):
Row 1: With peach, ch 9, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 6 chs, 3 sc in last ch;
working on opposite side of ch, sc in next 7 chs, turn (17 sc). Back of row 1 is
right side of work.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first 7 sts, 2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sc in last 7 sts, fasten off.
With white, sew ends of rows on ears to first and last 5 sts on row 18 of head.
Edging:
Rnd 1: Join white with sl st in first st of row 2 on right ear, (sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc
in next st, 2 hdc in neach of next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 6 sts, sl st in last
on ear), sc in next 4 sts on row 18 of head between ears. sl st in first st on next
ear; repeat between ( ); workin gin ends of rows and in sts around sides and
bottom of head, spacing sts so edge lays flat, sc around to first ear, join with sl st
in first sl st.
Row 2: *Sc in next 5 sts, (2 sc in next st, sc in next st) 7 times*, sc in next 5 sts,
skip next sl st, sc in next 4 sts, skip next sl st, sc in next 6 sts; repeat between *
*, sc in next 5 sts, sl st in next st leaving remaining sts unworked. Fasten off.
With blue, using satin stitch embroider eyes over rows 11 and 12 of head, 2"
apart as shown in photo. With doubled strand pink using straight stitch
embroider nose over rows 4 to 10.
