Materials: Size 10 Crochet Cotton - 30 yds White, 12 yds Green,
1 Gold 3 x 6 mm Rice Bead
1 Red Rocaille Bead
5 White 3 mm Pearl Beads
5 Red 3 mm Pearl Beads
9" Red 1/8" Ribbon
2/3 yd Red 1/4" Ribbon
Crochet Hook Steel Size 5 or 2.00 mm
Topper:
Rnd 1: With white, ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st in first sc. (8 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around, join, fasten off. (16)
Rnd 3: Working this rnd in front loops only, join green with sc in any st, sc in each st around, join.
Rnd 4: Ch 4, (dc in next st, ch 1) around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of ch-4.
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in first st, ch 3, sc in next ch sp, ch 3, (sc in next st, ch 3, sc in next ch sp, ch 3)
around, join with sl st in first sc, fasten off. (32 ch sps).
Rnd 6: Working on rnd 4, join green with sc around post of any dc, (ch 3, sc around post of same st)
2 times, ch 3, * sc around post of next dc, (ch 3, sc around post of same st) 2 times, ch 3; repeat
from * around, join, fasten off.
Rnd 7: Working in ch sps of rnd 5, join white with sc in any ch sp, 2 sc in next ch sp, ( sc in next ch
sp, 2 sc in next ch sp) around, join. (48 sts)
Rnd 8: Ch 3, 2 dc in next st, (dc in next st, 2 dc in next st) around, join with sl st in top of ch-3 (72 dc)
Rnd 9: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join with sl st in first sc.
Rnd 10: Working this rnd in back lps only, ch 1, sc in each st around, join.
Rnd 11: Ch 3, dc in each st around, join with sl st in top of ch-3.
Rnd 12-13: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join with sl st in first sc.
Rnd 14: Ch 4, skip next st, (dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st) around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of ch-4.
Rnd 15: Ch 1, sc in first st, ch 3, skip next ch sp, (sc in next st, ch 3, skip next ch sp) around, join
with sl st in first sc.
Rnd 16: Sl st in next ch sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, 3 dc in each ch sp around, join with sl st in top of
ch-3, fasten off.
Rnd 17: Join green with sc in first st, ch 3, (sc in next st, ch 3) around, join with sl st in first sc, fasten
off.
Finishing:
1: For candle, sew rocaille bead to center of rnd 1; sew rice bead next to rocaille bead on rnd 2 as
shown in photo.
2: Alternating colours, sew pearl beads evenly spaced around rnd 6.
3: Tie 1/8" ribbon into a bow, tack below rice bead.
4: Weave 1/4" ribbon through ch sps of rnd 14; tie ends into a bow.
