Flower Motif: (make 2):
Ch 6 and join with sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: (right side): Work 16 sc in ring, join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 2: Sc in same st as joining, ch 2, skip next sc, (sc in next sc, ch 2, skip next sc) 7
times, join with sl st to first sc -- 8 ch-2 loops
Rnd 3: In each ch-2 work sc, 2 dc and sc. Join.
Rnd 4: Pushing petals to front of work, insert hook from front to back to front around next
sc, draw up a loop and complete as sc (post sc completed), * ch 3, post sc around first sc
of next petal; repeat from * around, end ch 3, join.
Rnd 5: In each ch-3 work sc, 5 dc and sc. Join.
Rnd 6: Pushing petals to front of work, post sc around next sc, * ch 4, post sc around first
sc of next petal; repeat from * around, end ch 4, join.
Rnd 7: In each ch-4 work sc, 7 dc and sc. Join.
Rnd 8: Pushing petals to front of work, post sc around next sc, * ch 5, post sc around first

Holding motifs with wrong sides together, join thread in closest motif (back), ch 4, sc in
corresponding ch-4 of other motif (front), * ch 3, sc in next loop of back, ch 3, sc in next
loop of front) 7 times, ch 3, sc in back corner, ch 3, sc in front corner; repeat from * 2
times more. Do not cut thread.

Top Border:

in corner, ch 3, (sc in next loop, ch 3) 15 times, sc in next corner. Turn.
Row 2: Sc in ch-3, ch 9, (dc in next ch-3, ch 9) 14 times, sc in last ch-3. Ch 5, turn.
Row 3: Work dtr in next loop, * ch 5, retaining last loop of each st on hook, work dtr in
same loop as last st and in next loop, yo and through all loops on hook (joint tr
completed); repeat from * across. Ch 7, turn.
Row 4: (Sc in next joint tr, ch 7) 12 times, sl st in last joint tr. Turn.
Row 5: Sl st in joint tr, 7 dc in next loop; repeat from * across, end sl st in last joint tr.
Fasten off.

Finishing:
Starch lightly. Pin to measurements and allow to dry completely.
Tie: Ch 12 and join with sl st to form a ring; make a 11” ch, sl st in 12th ch from hook. Cut
thread. Weave tie through beading rnd.
Tassels: (make 2): Wrap thread around 3 ½” cardboard about 50 times. Draw 12” length
through top of bundle; center and tie securely. Cut opposite end. Wrap another 10”
length tightly around bundle about ½” below top tie. Knot securely. Trim. Knot one tassel
at each end of tie.

Potpourri Filler: (optional):
Cut 2 pieces light weight fabric, each 4 ½” x 6 ½”. Allowing ¼” for seams, sew 3 edges.
Turn and press. Fill with potpourri or perfumed cotton. Work gathering stitch around
opening of bag, about 1” down from top. Pull together and secure thread. Place potpourri
pouch in crochet bag.
