Materials: Crochet Cotton Size 20 - 1 Ball White
Steel Crochet Hook Size 8
Bridal Head Piece, covered in White Satin
White Tulle, 72” Wide 2 ½ Yds
White Sewing Thread and Needle
Glue Gun & Glue Stick
10 White Round Ball Buttons 3/8” Diameter

Tapestry Needle
Gauge: Flowers 1” in diameter
Flowers: (make 10):
Starting in center, ch 5. Join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, (sc in ring, ch 3) 6 times. Join with sl st in first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, make sc, hdc, dc, hdc and sc in each ch-3 lp around, 6 petals made. Join
with sl st in back of first sc.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, working from back of petal, insert hook into sp of first petal bringing hook out
in center of ring, thread over hook and draw lp back over ring, thread over and complete
a sc over ring; * ch 5, insert hook into sp of next petal and complete a sc over ring as
before. Rep from * around, end with ch 5. Join as before.
Rnd 4: Ch 1, make sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc and sc in each ch-5 lp around. Join, break off.
Leaves: (make 10):
Starting in center ch 9.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 6 ch, 3 sc in next ch, working along opposite
side of ch, sc in next 5 ch. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sc in front lp of first 6 sc. 3 sc in front lp of next sc, sc in front lp of next 6 sc. Ch 1,
turn.
Row 3: Sc in back lp of first 7 sc, 3 sc in back lp of next sc, sc in back lp of next 5 sc. Ch 1,
turn.
Row 4: Sc in front lp of next sc, 3 sc in front lp of next sc, sc in front lp of next 5 sc. Break
off.
Head Piece Trim: Weave in ends on flowers and leaves. If using stiffener, apply to flowers
and leaves and let dry. With needle and sewing thread sew 1 button in center of each
flower. Mark center front 6” of head piece. Following pic, arrange all flowers between
markers and sew in place. Arrange 5 leaves joined at base, at each edge and sew in
place.
Tulle: Cut 1 piece of tulle 54” long. Fold so that top layer is 18” and the under layer is 36”.
Round out ends of both layers. Pleat at folded edge to measure about 5” across. Baste
pleats to hold shape. Sew or glue this pleated edge to underside of center back of head
piece. Cut another piece of tulle 36” long. Keeping top edge straight, round out ends at
opposite edge. Pleat at top edge to measure about 5” across, baste pleats. Pin this
pleated edge to under side of head piece, centering it in front behind flowers and hold it
above head piece. Sew or glue in place.
