Bottom of Heart:
Starting at point, ch 4.
Row 1: Work 4 dc in 4th ch from hook, ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Work 2 dc in first dc, ch 1, sk next dc, dc in next dc, ch 1, sk next dc, 3 dc in top of turning
ch. Ch 3, turn.
Row 3: Work 2 dc in first dc, ch 1, sk next dc, dc in next dc, (dc in ch-1 sp, dc in next dc) twice, ch 1,
sk 1 dc, 3 dc in top of turning ch. Ch 3, turn.
Row 4-7: Work 2 dc in first dc, ch 1, sk 1 dc, dc in next dc, dc in ch-1 sp, dc in each dc across
center section, dc in ch-1 sp, dc in next dc, ch 1, sk 1 dc, 3 dc in top of turning ch. Ch 3, turn. On
row 7, there will be 21 dc in center section.
Row 8: Sk first dc, dc in each of next 2 dc, ch 1, dc in each of next 21 dc, ch 1, dc in each of next 2
dc, dc in top of turning ch. Ch 3, turn.
Row 9: Sk first dc, dc in each of next 2 dc, ch 1, dc in each of next 9 dc, (ch 1, sk 1 dc, dc in next
dc) twice, dc in each of next 8 dc, ch 1, dc in each of next 2 dc, dc in top of turning ch. Do not ch 3,
turn.
First Half of Top Shaping:
Row 10: Sl st in 2nd dc, ch 3, dc in next dc, dc in ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk 1 dc, dc in each of next 6 dc, ch
1. Work a joined dc as follows: holding back on hook the last lp of each st, work a dc in next dc and
in ch-1 sp, yo hook and draw through all lps on hook. Turn.
Row 11: Ch 3, dc in ch-1 sp, (dc in next dc, ch 1, sk next dc) 3 times, dc in ch-1 sp, dc in each of
next 2 dc. Turn.
Row 12: Sl st in 2nd dc, ch 3 (dc in next dc, dc in ch-1 sp) 3 times, dc in each of next 2 dc, ch 3, sl
st in top of turning ch, sl st in side of same turning ch, sl st in top of 2 joined dc on row 10, ch 3, sl st
