Finished Size Approximately 11” long with Tassel
To start, ch 8.
Row 1:(right side): Sc in second ch from hook, sk next 2 ch, work a shell of (3 dc, ch 2, 3
dc) in next ch, sk next 2 ch, sc in last ch. Ch 4, turn.
Row 2: Work a shell of (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in ch-2 sp of shell, work 1 tr in last sc, Ch 4, turn.
Rows 3-12: Rep row 2, working last tr in top of turning ch.
Row 13: Shell in shell as before, tr in top of turning ch. Ch 1, do not turn, work border.
Border:
Working over ends of rows, work (sc, ch 3, sc) over ch-4 or tr, ch 1 - 12 times, in corner
work (sc, ch 3, sc, ch 3, sc); ch 2, sk next 2 ch, work (sc, ch 5, sc) in center ch, ch 2, sk
next 2 ch, work corner as before in corner, ch 1; working over ends of rows work (sc, ch 3,
sc, ch 1) 12 times, sk 1 dc, work (sc, ch 3, sc) in next dc, ch 1, sk 1 dc, in sp of shell work
(sc, ch 3, sc, ch 5, sc, ch 3, sc), ch 1, sk 1 dc, work (sc, ch 3, sc) in next dc, ch 2, sk last
dc, join with sl st in first sc and break off.
Finishing:
Weave in all ends. Bock if desired.
Tassel: Cut six lengths of crochet cotton, each 10”long. Fold in half and knot through ch-5
lp of border, tighten ends. Trim to 4 ½” length. With sewing needle and thread, sew bow
to other end.
