Stocking Potholder or Hot Pad

Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn 4 oz each Green and Red & 3 oz White
Crochet Hook Size G

Approximate Size 8" Square

Note: When changing colors, always drop yarn to wrong side of work. Do not
work over dropped color; carry yarn loosely across back of work to next
section of same color. Fasten off colors when Note: When changing colors,

Front:
Row 1: With green, ch 31, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn
(30 sc)

Rows 2-3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Rows 4-27: Ch 1, sc in each st across changing colors according to graph,
turn.

Rows 28-30: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.

Using white and straight stitch embroider stars at random on stocking as in
photo.

Back:
Row 1: With green, ch 31, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn
(30 sc)

Row 2-30: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.

Edging:
To join, holding front and back wrong sides together, working through both
thicknesses, join white with sc in top left corner st; for hanging loop, ch 10,
sc in same st; sc in each st and in each end row around with 2 sc in each st,
join with sl st in first sc, fasten off. SEE GRAPH BELOW
