Slipper Pattern 2
Materials: Knitting Worsted Yarn 4 ozs
Crochet Hook Size H or 5.00 mm
Gauge: 16 sc = 4 inches or 10 cm
Note: If necessary, to obtain correct gauge change to larger or smaller hook.
With double strand of yarn (to make sole only), ch 24.
Rnd 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch across, 5 sc in end ch, 1 sc in each ch across
(other side), 4 sc in end ch, join with sl st, ch 1.
Rnd 2: Working through back loops only, 1 sc in each sc across, 3 sc in end sc, 1 sc in each sc
across, 3 sc in end sc, ending with 1 sc in next sc, join with sl st, ch 1.
Rnd 3: Repeat rnd 2, ending with 1 sc in next 2 sc, join with sl st, ch 1.
Rnd 4: Repeat rnd 2, ending with 1 sc in next 3 sc, join with sl st, ch 1.
Rnd 5: Using a single strand of yarn, work 1 sc in back loops of each sc (to form ridge), join with sl
st, ch 1.
Rnd 6 and 7: Working under both loops, repeat rnd 5.
Rnd 8 through 13: Mark center sc for toe. Work 1 sc in each sc to within 2 sc of marker, then decas
follow: draw up a loop in each of next 2 sc, yo and through 3 loops on hook, 1 sc (toe), repeat
decrease, 1 sc in each sc to end or rnd. Repeat this rnd 5 times.
Rnd 14 and 15: Work 1 sc in each sc to within 3 sc of marker, dec 2 sc, 1 sc (toe), reepat decrease,
1 sc in each sc to end of rnd.
Rnd 16: Work 1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off.
Finishing: Fasten in any loose ends. Using a double strand of yarn crochet a 32 inch chain, thread
through to edge of slipper (as shown in photograph) and tie.
