Materials: Crochet Cotton Size 5 Lemon 150 yds and Lime 100 yds
  Crochet Hook Size 3
  Tapestry Needle

Finished Size Approximately 7 1/2"

Potholder:
Rnd 1: With yellow, ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 3, 2 dc in ring, ch 1, (3 dc in ring, ch 1) 3 times,
join with sl st in top of ch-3. (12 dc, 4 ch sps)

Rnd 2: Sc fp (insert hook from front of work, around post of st and out on front again instead of
through top lps), ch 2, dc fp around next 2 sts, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch sp, *dc fp around next 3 sts,
(dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch sp; repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of ch-2. (20 sts, 4 ch sps)

Rnds 3-7:Sc fp around ch-2 on last rnd, ch 2, dc fp around each st around with (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in
each corner ch sp, join. At end of last rnd, turn. (100 sts and 4 ch sps).

Rnd 8: Sc fp around ch-2 on last rnd, ch 2, dc fp around each st around with (dc, ch 1, dc) in each
corner ch sp, join.

Rnd 9: Sc fp around ch-2 on last rnd, ch 2, dc fp around each st around with (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in each
corner sp, join.

Rnd 10: Repeat rnd 8.

Rnd 11: Sc fp around ch-2 on last rnd, ch 2, dc fp around each st across to next corner ch sp, *(2 dc,
ch 1, 2 dc) in next corner ch sp, fp around each st across to next corner ch sp; repeat from * 2 more
times, 2 dc in last ch sp; for hanging loop, ch 15, sl st in top of lats dc made, sc in each ch of ch-15, 2
dc in same ch sp as last 2 dc, fp around each st across, join. Fasten off.

Shamrock Petal: (make 4)
Row 1: With lime, ch 2, 3 sc in second ch from hook, turn. (3 sc made)

Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in next st, 2 sc in last st, turn. (5)

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in last 2 sts, turn. (6)

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Row 5: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in next st, 2 sc in each of next 2 sts, sc in next st, 2 sc in last st, turn.
(10)

Row 6: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Row 7: Ch 1, sc in first 2 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in last 2 sts, turn. (14)

Row 8: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Row 9: Ch 1, sc in first 7 sts, 3 sc in next sp between sts, sc in last 7 sts, turn. (17)

Row 10: Ch 1, sc in first 2 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next 5 sts, hdc in
next st, 2 hdc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in last 2 sts, turn. (19 sts)

Row 11: Sl st in first st, sc in next st, skip next st, 2 hdc in each of next 4 sts, skip next 2 sts, sc in next
st, skip next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next 4 sts, skip next st, sc in next st, sl st in last st, turn. (21)

Row 12: Skip first st, sl st in next st, skip next st, 2 hdc in each of next 3 sts, sip next st, sc in next st,
skip next st, sl st in next st, skip next st, sc in next st, skip next st, 2 hdc in each of next 3 sts, skip next
st, sc in next st, skip next st, sl st in next st leaving last sl st unworked. Fasten off. Front of row 12 is
right side of work.

For stem, with green, ch 13, sc in back bar (insert hook under the horizontal loop on back of stitch
directly below the top of loops) of second ch from hook, sc in back bar of each ch across. Fasten off.

Finishing:
To form shamrock, sew ends of rows 1-8 on petals together. Tack stem between any two petals. Sew
shamrock centered over potholder.
