Santa Fe Pillow
Materials: Sport Yarn; 4 ½ oz Yellow, 2 ½ oz each Mango, Off White, Blue, Green
& Peach
Crochet Hooks Size D or 3.50 mm and G or 4.50 mm
Polyester Fiberfill
Tapestry Needle
Finished Size Approximately 14 ½” x 15”
Gauges: D Hook-7clusters = 2”; 5 cluster rows = 2”
G Hook-4 sc = 1”; 4 sc rows = 1”
Notes: When changing colours, drop first colour pick up when needed. Carry dropped
colour along back of work and fasten off each colour when no longer needed.
Use D hook to work cluster rows and G hook to work sc rows.
Front:
Row 1: With G hook and yellow, ch 53, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across
changing to orange in last st made, turn. (52 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across changing to off white in last st made, front of row 2 is
right side of work.
Row 3: For beginning cluster (beg cl), (ch 3, dc) in fist st: cl 3 times changing to blue in
last st made, cl 4 times changing to off white in last st made, (cl 4 times changing to blue
in last st made, cl 4 times changing to off white in last st made) 5 times, cl 4 times, turn.
First ch 3 counts as first dc.
Note: For cluster (cl), yo, insert hook in next st, yo, pull through st, y, pull though 2 lps on
hook, yo, insert hook in same st, yo, pull though st, yo pull though 2 lps on hook, yo, pull
through all 3 lps on hook.
Rows 4-47: Work according to graph across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.
Back:
Row 1: Repeat row 1 of front.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row 3-36: Beg cl, cl in each st across, turn.
Rows 37-38: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.
Hold pillow pieces wrong sides tog, matching sts, sew together, stuffing before closing.
