Red & Green Lightbulb Ornament
Materials: Crochet Cotton Size 3 35 yds each Red & Green
5" Vanity Lightbulb with Medium Base
Crochet Hook Size E
Cover:
Rnd 1: With red, ch 8, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 1, sc in same ch, 2 sc in next ch, (sc in next ch, 2 sc in next
ch) around, join with sl st in first sc. (12 sc made)
Rnd 2: Ch 4 (counts as first tr), tr in same st, ch 2, (2 tr in next st, ch 2) around, join with sl st in top of ch-4.
Fasten off. (12 ch sps)
Rnd 3: Join green with sl st in any ch sp, ch 7, (sl st in next ch sp, ch 7) around, join with sl st in first sl st.
Rnd 4: Sl st in first 4 chs, ch 5, (sl st in center ch of next ch sp, ch 5) around, join with sl st in fourth sl st. Fasten
off.
Rnd 5: Join red with sl st in center ch of any ch sp, ch 5, (sl st in center ch of next ch sp, ch 5) around, join with
sl st in first st. Fasten off.
Rnd 6: Join green with sl st in center ch of any ch sp, ch 3, (sl st in center ch of next ch sp, ch 3) around, join.
Rnd 7: Sl st in first 2 chs, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in same ch, ch 1, (3 dc in center ch of next ch sp, ch 1)
around, join with sl st in top of ch-3. (36 dc, 12 ch sps)
Rnd 8: Sl st in next st, ch 5, (sl st in center st of next 3-dc group, ch 5) around, join with sl st in first sl st. Fasten
off.
Insert lightbulb inside cover.
Rnd 9: Join red with sl st in center ch of any ch sp, ch 3, (sl st in center ch of next ch sp, ch 3) around, join.
Rnd 10: Sl st in first 2 chs, ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch-1 sp), (dc in center ch of next ch sp, ch 1) around, join
with sl st in third ch of ch-4. Fasten off. (12 dc, 12 ch sps)
Rnd 11: Join green with sl st in any ch sp, ch 3, dc in each ch sp around, join with sl st in top of ch-3. (12 dc)
Note: Work in continuous rnds, do not join or turn rnds unless otherwise stated. Mark first st of each rnd.
Rnd 12: Ch 1, sc in first st, 2 sc in next st, (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) around, do not join. (18 sc)
Rnd 13-16: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 17: (Sc next 2 sts tog, sc in next 4 sts) around. (15)
Rnd 18: (Sc next 2 sts tog, sc in next st) around (10)
Rnd 19: (Sl st in next st, skip next st) around, join with sl st in first sl st. Fasten off.
Sew opening closed.
For hanger, join red with sl st in any st at top of cover, ch 18, sl st in same st. Fasten off.
