Pineapple Sachet
Materials: Crochet Cotton Size 10: 1 ball
Crochet Hook Size 6 or 1.60 mm
½ yd ½” satin ribbon
6” by 12” piece of fabric or net
Small amount of potpourri
Matching Sewing Thread and Needle
Note: For smaller sachet use size 20 thread with size 8 crochet hook or size 30 thread and
size 10 crochet hook.
Finished Size Approximately 6” high x 6” wide
First Pineapple:
Rnd 1: Start at top, ch 15, join with sl st to form ring, ch 1, 40 sc in ring., join with sl st in
front loop of first sc.
Row 2: Ch 4, tr in front loop of next 19 sc, ch 9, turn. (20 tr counting ch-4).
Row 3: [2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] in 6th ch from hook (shell), ch 3, [tr in next tr, ch 1] 19 times, tr in
top of ch-4, ch 9, turn.
Row 4: Shell in 6th ch from hook, ch 4, sc in next ch-1 space, [ch 3, sc in next ch-1 space]
18 times, ch 4, shell in ch-2 shell space (shell over shell), ch 5, turn.
Row 5: Shell over shell, ch 4, sc in next ch-3 loop, [ch 3, sc in next ch-3 loop] 17 times, ch
4, shell over shell, ch 5, turn.
Row 6 - 21: Repeat row 5 with 1 ch-3 loop less each row until 1 ch-3 loop remains.
Row 22: Shell over shell, ch 4, sc in ch-3 loop, ch 4, shell over shell, ch 5, turn.
Row 23: Shell over shell twice, fasten off, turn.
Second Pineapple:
Attach thread in free loop of first used sc on ring, ch 4, tr in next 19 free loops, ch 9, turn.
(20 tr).
Rep rows 3 - 23 for second pineapple.
Finishing:
Fold fabric across, cut piece slightly smaller than pineapple with folded edge at top.
With right sides facing, sew together leaving an opening. Turn right side out, fill with
potpourri. Sew opening closed. Starting at top, weave ribbon through ch-4 spaces around
pineapple, insert sachet before closing. Tie bow at top.
