of next 3-dc group, skip one 3-dc group, repeat from *** to body border, skip one sc on
side of body, sl st in next st. Cut thread.
Border, Upper Wing:
Row 1: With piece turned to work across outside (long) edge of upper wing, join thread
and work border in same manner as lower wing; have 4 pineapples on lower edge, one
pineapple at tip and 4 pineapples on top edge of wing.
Second Wing:
Work same as first wing; begin row 1 with wrong side facing.
Antennae:
Join thread to corner of head, work 2 ½” ch, sl st at tip of next pineapple on upper wing
border. Turn. Sc in each ch across. Cut thread. Work antenna the same on other side of
head.
Finishing:
Starch lightly. Pull out all border pineapples and body at center; pin in place. Allow to dry
completely.
