Materials: Crochet Cotton Size 10; 2 - 50 gm Balls
          Steel Crochet Hook Size 5 or 2.00
          12” Pillow Form
          ½ yd fabric for lining
          Sewing Thread and Needle
          Spray Starch if desired

Finished Size Approximately 12” x 12”
Gauge: 3 sp or bl = 1”
Note: When working pattern 4 dc = 1 bl, 7 dc = 2 bl.
Add 3 dc for each attached bl. When following chart, work right side rows from right to left
and wrong side rows from left to right.

Starting at lower edge, ch 121.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each of next 2 ch (4 dc, counting turning ch as one
st), * ch 2, sk 2 ch, 1 dc in each of next 4 ch. Rep from * across row ending with 4 dc. Ch
5, turn.
Row 2: Skip first 3 dc, * dc in next dc, 2 dc in ch-2 sp, dc in next dc, ch 2, sk 2 ch. Rep
from * across row ending ch 2, 1 dc. Ch 5, turn.
Row 3: Sk first 3 dc, * ch 2, sk 2 ch, dc across row ending 1 dc in 3rd ch of ch-5.
Starting with row 4, follow chart until completed. Do not break off.
Side Edging:
Row 1: Working along side, ch 5, work 1 dc in side of last dc at top of pillow, * ch 2, 1 dc in
side of next st, 2 dc in next sp, 1 dc in side of next st; rep from * along side to bottom. Ch
5, turn.
Row 2: Work sp over bl and bl over sp along row. Fasten off. Attach thread at lower
corner of second side and rep rows 1 and 2.
Border:
Rnd 1: 1 sc in each st around, working 3 sc in each corner st.
Rnd 2: Sc in first sc, * (ch 5, sc in 5th sc) twice, ch 3, sc in 3rd sc. Rep from * around.
Rnd 3: Sc in first sc, * (shell of sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc) in next lp, ch 3, shell in next lp, ch 2,
dc in ch-3 lp, ch 2. Rep from * around.
Rnd 4: Sc in first sc, * ch 7, shell in ch-3 lp, ch 7, sc in ch-2 sp, ch 4, sc in next sp. Rep
from * around.
Rnd 5: Sc in first sc, * ch 5, sc in next lp, ch 6, sk shell, sc in next lp, ch 5, a dc-petal  in ch-
4 lp. Rep from * around.
Rnd 6: Sc in first lp, ch 2, * 11 sc in ch-6 lp, ch 4, sc in next lp, ch 4, sk petal, sc in next lp,
ch 4. Rep from * around.
Finishing:
Lining: Cut 2 pieces from fabric, each 13” x 13”. Using ½” seam allowance, hold both
pieces together and sew on 3 sides, leave 4th side open. Turn to right side, insert pillow
form, sew 4th side closed. Weave in ends. Spray starch pillow top, if desired, easing piece
to 12” x 12”. When dry, sew to one side of covered pillow, with needle and thread.
