Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn; Main Colour-Med Green 2.5 ozs, Colour A-Dk Green
2.5 ozs, Colour B-Lt Green 1.5 ozs
Crochet Hook Size J or 6.00 mm
Square Pillow Form 14” x 14”
Finished Size 14” x 14”
Gauge: In pattern, 13 sts and 9 rows = 4”
Stripe Sequence:
2 rows Main colour, 2 rows colour A, 2 rows Main colour, * 2 rows colour B, 2 rows Main
colour, 2 rows colour A, 2 rows Main colour; repeat from * 2 times more.
Front:
With main colour, ch 47 loosely.
Row 1: (right side): Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across: 45 sts.
Note: Loop a short piece of yarn around any stitch to mark last row as right side.
Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as first hdc, now and throughout), turn; dc in next dc, * work front
post dc (fpdc) around post of next dc, dc in next dc; repeat from * across to last st, hdc in
last st; finish off: 45 sts.
Row 3: With wrong side facing, join new colour with sl st in first hdc, ch 2, work fpdc
around post of next dc, (dc in next fpdc, work fpdc around post of next dc) across to last
hdc, hdc in last hdc.
Row 4: Ch 2, turn, dc in next fpdc, (work fpdc around post of next dc, dc in next fpdc)
across to last hdc, hdc in last hdc; finish off.
Rows 5-30: Repeat rows 3 and 4, 13 times.
Edging:
With right side facing, join colour A with sl st in first hdc; ch 1, (sc in each st across to
corner, 3 sc in corner, work 45 sc evenly spaced across to corner, 3 sc in corner) twice;
join with sl st to first dc, finish off: 192 sc.
Back:
Work same as front; do not finish off.
Finishing:
With colour A, work reverse double crochet joining as follows: With wrong sides together
and front facing, work through both sts of both pieces as follows: ch 4, working from left to
right, skip next st, * yo, insert hook in next st to right of hook, yo and draw through, under
and to left of loop on hook (3 loops on hook), (yo and draw through 2 loops on hook)
twice, ch 1, skip next st; repeat from * around inserting pillow form before closing; join with
sl st to base of beginning ch 4, finish off.
