Steel Crochet Hook Size 6 or 1.75 mm
Finished Size Approximately 106" x 60"
Ch 504 (always ch more sts then needed; excess can be but off after row 1 has been
worked)
Row 1: Tr in 4th ch from hook—counts as 2 tr, tr in each of next 2 chs–first block (bl)
made, (tr in each of next 3 chs) 166 times—167 bls. Ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Tr in each of next 3 tr–first bl, (ch 2, sk 2 tr, tr in next tr) 30 times–30 spaces or
sps made, tr in each of next 3 tr–1 bl, (ch 2, sk 2 tr, tr in next tr) 3 times–3 sps, tr in each
of next 3 tr–1 bl, (ch 2, sk 2 tr, tr in next tr) 21 times–21 sps, tr in each of next 3 tr–1 bl, ch
2, sk 2 tr, tr in next tr–1 sp, tr in each fo next 3 tr–1 bl; continue across row, working 21
sps, 1 bl, 3 sps, 1 bl, 21 sps, 1 bl, 1 sp, 1 bl, 21 sps, 1 bl, 3 sps, 1 bl, 30 sps, 1 bl, working
last tr in top of ch-3 . Ch 3, turn. Chart row 2 completed.
Keeping to chart, work to row 31, then repeat from * to * on chart five times in all. Turn
chart upside down. Begin with row 31, work to row 1. End off.
Edging: Work 1 row sc around all edges, work sc, ch 1, sc in each corner. Do not turn.
Work 1 row of crab st all around (sc worked from left to right).
