Materials: Knit Cro-Sheen 1 ball of White for all 3
Steel Crochet Hook Size 6 or 1.75 mm

Stocking: (make 3):
Starting at top edge, ch 24.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across (22 dc, counting turning ch-3
as one dc). Ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Sk first dc (turning ch counts as first dc), dc in each dc across, dc in top of ch-
3. Ch 3, turn.
Rows 3 & 4: Rep row 2.
Row 5: Sk first 3 dc, work a V-st of (dc, ch 2, dc) in next dc, (sk next 2 dc, work a V-st
in next dc) 5 times, sk next 2 dc, dc in top of ch-3. Ch 3, turn.
Row 6, 7 & 8: Work a V-st of (dc, ch 2, dc) in ch-2 sp of each V-st across, end with dc
in top of ch-3. Ch 3, turn.
Row 9: Work a V-st in each V-st across, then ch 15 for toe shaping, turn.
Row 10: Work a V-st in 4th ch from hook, (sk next 2 ch, work a V-st in next ch) 3
times, sk next ch, V-st in next ch, then working across sts of last row, work a V-st in
each V-st across, dc in top of ch-3. Ch 3, turn.
Row 11: Work even on 11 V-sts. Ch 3, turn.
Row 12: Work across in pattern to within last V-st, in last V-st work (dc, ch 1, 1 dc) for
dec. Ch 2, turn.
Row 13: In ch-1 sp of first V-st work (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) work across in pattern to within
last V-st, in last V-st work 1 dc. Ch 2, turn.
Row 14: Work across in pattern to within last 2 V-sts, (in next V-st work 1 dc, ch 1, 1
dc) twice. Break off.
Finishing:
Weave in all ends.
Border: Work 1 rnd of sc closely all around each stocking (keep work flat), round out
toe and heel shapings, and in each top corner work (sc, ch 1, sc). Join with sl st in
first sc and break off.
To Stiffen: If using white glue, mix ½ glue and ½ water in a small disposable dish. Dip
stockings into mixture, squeeze out excess liquid, shape on a piece of cardboard
(covered with wax paper) until dry. Leave overnight, if necessary. If using fabric
stiffener, follow manufacturer’s directions.
Trim: If desired, apply trim to stockings.
Hangers: Using gold thread, make a loop at top of each.
