Materials: Sport Weight Yarn 18 oz Green (A), 8 oz White (B), 2 oz Yellow (C)
Size G or 4 mm crochet hook
Size H or 5 mm crochet hook
Finished Size Approximately: 40" x 40"
Center:
Using larger hook and A, ch 113.
Row 1 (right side): Sc in second ch from hook and each rem ch; ch 1, turn: 112 sc.
Row 2: Sc in each sc; ch 1, turn.
Row 3 through 7: Rep row 2.
Row 8: Attach C for Psts, carrying C along top of work when not in use, working sc over C and
concealing it within sc until needed. Sc in first 6 sc; *with C, Pst in next sc; with A sc in next 8 sc; rep
from * to last 7 sc; Pst in next sc, sc in last 6 sc; ch 1, turn: 12 Psts. Finish off C.
Row 9: Sc in each st; ch 1, turn.
Row 10 through 17: Rep row 2.
Row 18: Rep row 8.
Rep rows 9 through 18 twelve more times.
Rep row 2 seven more times; at end of last row, do not ch 1. Finish off. Embroidery: Using B,
embroider an 8-petal Lazy Daisy around each puff st. Weave in ends.
Square (make 40):
Using larger hook and C, ch 4; join with sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 8 sc in ring; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off.
Rnd 2: Join B in any sc; (ch 4, hdc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next 2 ch, sl st in next sc) 8 times, work
last sl st in same sc as joining. 8 petals. Finish off.
Rnd 3: Join A in tip of any petal, ch 1, sc in same place; *ch 3, sc in tip of next petal, ch 7 **; sc in tip of
next petal; rep from * around, end at **; join in first sc.
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in first sc; *3 sc in ch-3 sp, sc in next sc, (3 sc, ch 3, 3 sc) in next ch-7 sp **; sc in next

Assembly: Using A, sew squares together through front lps, forming a large open square, with 9
squares along each side and one square in each corner as shown in photo. Place wrong side of
assembled squares over right side of center and pin in place. Using A, sew center to back lps of inner
edge of squares.
Inner Edging: With right side facing, fold on the seam just made and hold the squares toward you and
the center away from you, exposing the rem front lps of the squares. With smaller hook, join B in any
