Materials: 200 yds White Knit-Cro-Sheen Crochet Cotton
Steel Crochet Hook Size 7 or 1.50 mm
8 oz Whipped Topping Container
3 yds ¼” wide Lavender Satin Ribbon
Stiffener
Sewing Needle and White Thread
Glue
Finished Size Approximately 6” across top x 3” deep
Basket Base:
Rnd 1: Ch 5, join to form a ring, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), work 15 dc in ring, sl st to join in
top of ch 3. (16)
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, work 2 dc in each rem dc around, join. (32)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st, (ch 3, sk 1 dc, sc in next dc) rep around, ending with ch 1, dc
in starting sc (ch 1, dc sets you up in the middle of lp for next round). (16 ch lps around)
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same lp, (ch 8, sc in same lp, ch 2, sc in next lp) rep around, ending
with ch 2, sl st to join in starting sc. (16 ch 8 lps around).
Rnd 5: Sl st to the top of next ch 8 lp, ch 1, sc in same lp, (ch 5, sc in top of next ch 8 lp)
rep around, ending with ch 3, dc in starting sc to join. (16 ch 5 lps around)
Rnd 6: Ch 1, sc, ch 3, sc in same lp, (ch 5, sc, ch 3, sc in next ch 5 lp) rep around, ending
with ch 3, dc in starting sc to join.
Rnd 7 & 8: Rep rnd 6.
Rnd 9: Ch 1, sc, ch 3, sc in same lp, (ch 6, sc, ch 3, sc in next ch 5 lp) rep around, ending
ch 3, tr in starting sc to join.
Rnd 10: Ch 1, sc, ch 3, sc in same lp, (ch 6, sc, ch 3, sc in next ch 6 lp) rep around,
ending with ch 3, tr in starting sc to join.

Rnd 20: Ch 4, 3 tr, (ch 3, sc at base of ch 3 for picot), 4 tr all in same ch 7 lp, ch 3 [4 tr,
picot, 4 tr in next lp, ch 3], rep around, join, fasten off.
Handle:
Row 1: Ch 90, sc in 10th ch from hook, (ch 2, sk 1 ch, sc in next ch, ch 8, sc in same ch
as last sc) rep across, turn.
Row 2: Sl st to center top of ch 8 lp, ch 1, sc in same lp, (ch 2, sc in top of next ch 8 lp)
rep across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first sc, (ch 3, sc in top of next sc at top of ch 8) rep across, fasten off.
Finishing:
Saturate basket and handle with stiffener. Place basket over container. Lay handle on flat
surface. Allow pieces to dry completely. Sew handle to inside edge of basket with sewing
needle and white thread.
Cut ribbon into 10 equal parts. Tie 5 lengths of ribbon into a bow. Blue to side of handle.
Rep on other side of handle.
