Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn; 30 ozs Sky Blue, 12 ozs White
        Crochet Hook Size G or 4.50 mm

Finished Size Approximately 47" x 72"

Solid Motifs: (make 68):
Rnd 1: With Blue, ch 6; in 6th ch from hook work (dc, ch 3) 5 times; join with a sl st to 3rd
ch fro starting ch; you should have 6 dc and 6 ch-3 spaces.

Rnd 2: Sl st into first sp, ch 3 (counts as first dc), work 2 dc in same sp, ch 3; (work 3 dc in
next sp, ch 3) 5 times, join with a sl st to 3rd ch for starting ch.

Rnd 3: Ch 4, (counts as first tr); 1 tr in each of next 2 dc; * work (2 tr, ch 3, 2 tr) all in next
ch-3 sp; 1 tr in each of next 3 dc; rep from * 4 times more, end with (2 tr, ch 3, 2 tr) all in
last ch-3 sp; join with sl st in 4th ch of starting chain; you should have 7 dc on each of 6
sides with ch-3 sp between.

Rnd 4: Ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch-1 sp); (skip 1 st, dc in next tr, ch 1) twice; * work (1
dc, ch 3, 1 dc) all in ch-3 sp for corner; ch 1, dc in next tr; (ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in next tr) 3
times, ch 1; rep from * 4 times more, end with (1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc) all in last ch-3 sp; ch 1, dc
in next tr, ch 1, skip last tr, join with sl st in 3rd ch of starting ch; you should have 6 dc and
5 ch-1 sps on each side between ch-3 corner sps; fasten off. Weave in yarn ends.

Ice Crystals Motifs: (make 36):
Rnd 1: With white ch 6; in 6th ch from hook work (dc, ch 3) 5 times; join with sl st in 3rd ch
of starting ch; you should have 6 dc and 6 ch-3 sps.

Rnd 2: Sl st into first sp, ch 1; * work 1 hdc in ch-3 sp, 1 dc in same sp; ch 6, sl st in 3rd ch
from hook and in each of rem 3 ch for long picot; 1 dc in same sp, 1 hdc in same sp; ch 5;
sl st in 3rd ch from hook for short picot, ch 2; rep from * in each rem 5 sps around; join
with sl st in first hdc; you should have 6 long picots and 6 short picots; fasten off white.

Rnd 3: Join blue with sl st in top of any short picot, ch 1, * sc in top of short picot, at base
of next long picot work 1 tr in first hdc, 2 tr in dc, ch 1, sl st in top of long picot, ch 1; on
other side of same picot work 2 tr in dc, 1 tr in hdc; rep form * 5 times more, join with sl st
in first sc.

Rnd 4: Sl st into first tr, ch 4, (counts as first dc and ch-1 sp); skip 1 st, dc in next tr, ch 1;
* work (1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc) all in sl st at top of long picot for corner; ch 1, dc in next tr, (ch 1,
skip 1 st, dc in next tr) 3 times, ch 1; repeat from * 4 times more, end with (1 dc, ch 3, 1
dc) all in sl st at top of last long picot, ch 1, dc in next tr, ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in next tr, ch 1,
join with sl st in 3rd ch of starting chain; you should have 6 dc and 5 ch-1 sps on each of
6 sides between ch-3 sps; fasten off. Weave in yarn ends.

Joining:
Arrange motifs as shown in chart. Working from the right side of each motif with care to
keep seams flat, use blunt needle and blue to sew motifs tog with an overhand st through
the back lps only of corresponding sts.

Edging:
From right side, join blue with sl st in any ch-3 corner sp on outside edge; ch 1, work 3 sc
in each corner sp, 1 sc in each dc and in each ch-1 sp along edge of motif to last dc
before joining seam; draw up a lp in each corner sp on both sides of seam, yo and
through all 3 lps on hook for dec; continue all around outside edge in same way, join with
sl st in first sc and fasten off.

Fringe:
With white, cut two lengths fringe: 14" strands for longer panels, 20 strands for shorter
panels. Make single knot using 4 strands doubled for each knot. Tie one knot in each of 7
spaces across lower edge of each motif on both short ends.
