Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn; 13 ozs Lemon Yellow, 10 ozs Peach, 8 ozs Raspberry, 5
ozs Spring Green, 13 ozs White

With yellow, ch 5, join with sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: (right side):
Ch 4, (counts as first trc of rnd), tr in ring; * ch 2, 2 trc in ring; rep from * 6 times more, ch
2, join with a sl st in top of beg ch-4; eight 2-trc groups + 8 ch-2 sps. Finish off yellow.
Rnd 2: With right side facing you, join peach with a sl st in first trc of any 2-trc group, ch 3
(counts as first dc of rnd), 2 dc in next trc; * ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, dc in next trc, 2 dc in
next trc; rep from * 6 times more, ch 2, sk last ch-2 sp, join with a sl st in top of beg ch-3;
eight 3-dc groups + 8 ch-2 sps. Do not finish off.
Rnd 3: Continuing with peach, ch 3, do not turn; work 3 dc in next dc, dc in next dc; * ch 2,
sk next ch-2 sp, dc in next dc 3 dc in next dc, dc in next dc; rep from * 6 times more, ch 2,
sk last ch-2 sp, join with a sl st in top of beg ch-3 ; eight 5-dc groups + 8 ch-2 sps. Finish
off peach.
Rnd 4: With right side facing you, join raspberry with a sl st in first dc of any 5-dc group,
ch 3, dc in next dc, 3 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 2 dc; * ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, dc in
each of next 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 2 dc; rep from * 6 times more, ch 2,
sk last ch-2 sp, join with a sl st in top of beg ch-3; eight 7-dc groups + 8 ch-2 sps. Finish
off raspberry.
Rnd 5: With right side facing you, join green with a sl st in first dc of any 7-dc group, ch 3,
dc in each of next 3 dc; * ! 2 dc in next dc, trc in each fo next 2 dc; ch 2 (for corner sp), sk
next ch-2 sp, trc in each of next 2 dc; 2 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 4 dc!; ch 2 (for sp

leaving approximately 30" sewing length.
Assembling:
Afghan is 4 squares wide by 6 squares long. To join two squares, hold both squares with
right sides together, with sewing length positioned whenever possible at upper right hand
corner. Thread sewing length (or use a length of matching yarn) into tapestry or yearn
needle; weave to center ch st at corner. Now sew with overcast st in outer lps only of
corresponding sts across, ending in center ch st at next corner. Continue to join squares
in this manner until all squares are joined into rows. Then join rows together in same
manner, being careful that each 4-corner junction is firmly joined.
Edging:
Rnd 1: With right side facing you, join yellow with a sl st in ch-3 sp at any outer corner of
afghan, ch 3, work (dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in same sp; dc n each of next 15 dc, dc in next ch-2 sp,
dc in each of next 15 dc, * work 2 dc in each fo next 2 sps (sp on each side of joining), dc
in each of next 15 dc, dc in next ch-2 sp, dc in each of next 15 dc; rep from * across side
to next corner, work (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in corner ch-3 sp. Work rem sides and corners in
the same manner, join with a sl st in top of beg ch-3. Do not finish off.
Rnd 2: Continuing with yellow, ch 3, do not turn; dc in next dc, * work (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in
next corner sp, work dc in each dc across side; rep from * around, join with a sl st in top of
