Steel Crochet Hook Size 6 or 1.75 mm
Approximate Finished Size 2” wide; 1 pattern rep = 1 ¼”, 41 yds thread makes 12”
Row 1: Start at narrow end, ch 13, dc in 6th ch from hook, ch 1, skip next 2 ch, 2 dc in
next ch, ch 2, 2 dc in next ch (shell), ch 1, skip next 2 ch, dc in last ch, ch 5, turn.
Row 2 & 3: Dc in ch-1 space, ch 1, [2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] in next ch-2 shell space, (shell over
shell), ch 1, dc in next ch-1 space, ch 5, turn.
Row 4: Dc in next ch-1 , ch 1, shell over shell, ch 1, dc in next ch-1 space, ch 3, do not
turn, holding back last loop of each tr on hook 3 tr in next ch-5 loop on edge, thread over
and through all 4 loops on hook (3-tr-cl), [ch 3, 3-tr-cl in same loop] 3 times, ch 3, sc in
next ch-5 loop on same edge, ch 1, turn.
Row 5: * [Sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc] in next 5 ch-3 spaces, ch 3, dc in ext ch-1 space, ch 1, shell
over shell, ch 1, dc in next ch-1 space, ch 5, turn.
Rows 6-9: Rep [rows 2 & 3] twice.
Repeat rows 4-9 for desired length, fasten off.
