Easter Eggs
Materials: Small Amounts of Knitting Worsted in various colours
Crochet Hook Size H or 5.00 mm
Polyester Fiberfill Stuff.
Note: Eggs may be made plain using one colour throughout or striped by changing colours every 2 or
3 rows or variegated yarn could also be used.
Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook to form ring.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in ring. Do not join. Mark end of each rnd. 6 sc.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. 12 sc.
Rnd 3: * Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, repeat from * around. 18 sc.
Rnd 4: * Sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around. 24 sc.
Rnd 5: * Sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around. 30 sc.
Rnd 6 - 15: Work even in sc. Stuff egg firmly with fiberfill adding more as needed before opening gets
too small over next few rnds.
Rnd 16: * Sc in each of next 3 sc, 1 sc over next 2 sts (to decrease, pull up a loop in each of next 2
sts, yarn over hook and pull through all 3 lps on hook–1 sc decrease made), repeat from * around. 24
sc.
Rnd 17: * Sc in each of next 2 sc, dec 1 sc over next 2 sts, repeat from * around. 18 sc.
Rnd 18: * Sc in next sc, dec 1 sc over next 2 sts, repeat from * around. 12 sc.
Rnd 19: Continue decreasing until 1 st is left. End off.
