Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn Green. Small Amts of Gold, White, Yellow & Red
Polyester Fiberfill.
Crochet Hook Size G or 4.50 mm
Body: (make 2):
With green, ch 2.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.
Rnd 3: * Sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around.
Rnds 5 to 16: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 17: Sc around, decreasing every 3rd sc around.
Rnd 18: Decrease in every other sc around.
Rnd 19: Repeat rnd 18. End and sew opening.
Head: (make 2):
Rnd 1: With green, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.
Rnd 3: * Sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around.
Rnds 4 to 6: Sc evenly around.
Rnds 7 & 8: Sc around, decreasing in every other sc.
Rnds 9 to 14: Sc around even. End and stuff.
Feet: (make 8):
Rnd 1: With green ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.
Rnd 4 & 5: Sc evenly around and stuff.
Tail: (make 2):
Ch 10. End. Tie knot on one end.
Finishing:
Sew head to body, bending bigger piece just a little to make a neck. Sew tail to back of
body, then sew feet in proper place, Embroider eyes in yellow. With small piece of red,
embroider mouth.
Lady’s Hat:
Rnd 1: With white, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.
Rnd 3: Increase in every other sc around. End. Join yellow.
Rnd 4: * Ch 3 and sc in next sc. Repeat from * around hat. End and tack to top of head.
Top Hat:
Rnd 1: With gold, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.
Rnd 3: Increase in every other sc around.
Rnd 4: Sc around, working in back loops only.
Rnds 5 to 7: Sc around evenly. Ch 3 and make 2 sc in each sc around. This forms brim.
End.
Take a piece of yarn and draw through hat in holes made for brim, then pull slightly to
tighten hat. Tack to head.
