Colour Waves Afghan
Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn 3 ½ oz Skeins 2 each of Off White, Yellow, Peach, Pink,
Pastel Pink, Lavender, Lt Blue, Green, 3 Skeins Medium Blue
Finished Size Approximately 49" x 62"
With off white, chain 160.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each rem ch across–158 dc. ( beg ch-3 is first dc).
Turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across.
Change to yellow as follow: Draw up lp in next st, drop off white, yo with yellow and draw
thru 2 rem lps. Turn
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in next 2 sc, * sc 1 row below, sc 2 rows below, sc 1 row below, sc in next
3 sc; rep from * across. Turn.
Row 5: Ch 2, dc in each sc across–158 dc. Turn.
Rep rows 2-5 for pattern, changing colour after row 3 and working in colour sequence of
peach, pastel pink, pink, lavender, Lt blue, med blue, green, off white and yellow. Work
colour sequence until total length measures 60 inches.
Border:
Rnd 1: With Medium Blue, sc evenly spaced around entire afghan, working 3 sc in each
corner; join with sl st in beg sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1. Working through back lps only, sc in each sc around working 3 sc in each
corner st; join with sl st in beg sc.
Rnd 3: Rep Rnd 2. Fasten off.
