Joining:
Squares are joined into 10 rows of 8 squares each. To join, hold two squares with right
sides facing; sl st squares together loosely with black, inserting the hook into the back
loops only of each square.
Join each row of squares first; tie a number on each finished row so that you don’t get
them mixed up later when joining row to row. Join squares in each row as follows (left to
right):
Row 1: 8 Rose
Row 2: 8 Blue
Row 3: 1 Blue, 6 Green, 1 Blue
Row 4: 1 Blue, 1 Green, 4 Gold, 1 Green, 1 Blue
Row 5: 1 Blue, 1 Green, 1 Gold, 2 Rose, 1 Gold, 1 Gold, 1 Green, 1 Blue
Row 6: Same as Row 5.
Row 7: Same as Row 4.
Row 8: Same as Row 3.
Row 9: Same as Row 2.
Row 10: Same as Row 1.

Now join the strips, sl stitching each strip to the one below, again with right sides facing
and working into back loop of each stitch; carefully match stitches as you work and work a
ch-1 between each square (this keeps work flat). Weave in all loose back ends, running
the ends into the seam of the next square, rather than back into the square itself.

Edging:
Join Black with a sl st into any outer corner ch-3 sp; work as for rnd 3 square; work one
more rnd in black; finish off, weave in ends.
