Materials: 15 yds Crochet Cotton
Steel Crochet Hook Size 7
1/8 yd 1/8” Satin Ribbon
White Craft Glue
Finished Size Approximately 10” Long including Tassle
Gauge: 8 ch = 1”
Ch 64.
Row 1: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook. 1 dc in each of next 4 ch. * 3 dc in each of next 3 ch. 1
dc in each of next 2 ch. (Holding back last lp of each st on hook, work 1 dc in each of next
3 ch. Yo and pull through all 4 lps on hook) 3 times. 1 dc in each of next 2 ch. Rep from *
twice more. 3 dc in next ch. 1 dc in each of next 6 ch. Ch 3, sl st in last ch to join.
Rnd 2: Edging: Starting along opposite side of beg ch 64, work 1 sc in back lp of each ch
across. 1 sc in each of next 3 turning ch. 1 sc in top of each dc across. 1 sc in each of
next 3 turning ch. Sl st in first sc to join. Fasten off.
Finishing:
Little or no blocking is required. Make a tassle as follows:
Tassle:
Wrap a 4 yd length of crochet cotton around a 2 1/2" wide piece of cardboard. Remove
from cardboard. Tie end of a 6" length together and attach this loop to center of folded 4
yd length with a larkshead knot. Tie a simple knot in the loop at top of tassle to secure.
Tie a wrap around tassle using a 15" length. Clip bottom ends of tassle and attach tassle
to project with larkshead knot.
Attach through turning ch-3 sp with larks head knot. Tie a bow and glue in place.
